Trial Flights

A trial flight with Hull Aero Club is an opportunity both to experience wonderful aerial views of the Yorkshire Wolds and also to have a basic flying lesson. Your instructor will conduct a pre-flight briefing with you and afterwards discuss what is involved if you wish to take things further.

Light Aircraft

We operate 2- and 4-seat Cessna aircraft which are the most popular training aircraft in the world. Within minutes of taking off you will be invited to take the controls.  Flights are usually for 30 or 60 minutes.  With a 4-seat aircraft up to three people may take part.  At no extra charge, we can split the flight and make intermediate landings back at the airfield so that the opportunity to take the controls is shared. Extended flights can be provided by special arrangement. A 90-minute option allows a landing at a remote airfield and navigation exercises on the way there and back.

If two members of your party wish to fly in separate aircraft the flights can, if you wish, be taken at the same time. The aircraft can be brought close enough to each other for some exciting air-to-air photographs.

Microlights

We can also offer trial flights through our sister flying school RM Aviation. You may choose either flex-wing or 3-axis machines. With rates of climb up to 2000 feet per minute and unimpeded views, this is flying of an exhilarating kind.

Whatever option you choose, the time you spend on your trial flight counts towards your flying licence if you decide to take things further in the future.
